At MUS, we believe that nurturing Habits of Mind, Heart, and Community is the cognitive anchor that allows students to monitor and describe their own thinking and empowers them to intellectually navigate challenges. External understanding of the Habits and forming a true internal and personal understanding is done through purposeful instruction and meaningful application. Students will be empowered to use the habits to strengthen their skills as learners at school and positively impact the world beyond. In its simplest form, we want our students to demonstrate GRIT and EMPATHY. We work to embody a unified, intentional, and coherent culture where students approach challenges with the 16 Habits of Mind.
